حقوق التاليف والنشر فى السودان دراسة تطبيقية على اغانى حقيبة الفن 1996-2006

This study discusses intellectual property as regards copy rights in Sudan. A practical study on artistic works focuses on Sudanese songs; ( namely hagibat al - fun). The research lies in an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter discusses mass communication and the definition, development and system of intellectual property. The second chapter looks on the copyrights and their protection. The third chapter of the research discusses intellectual property in Sudan focusing on artistic works and the Sudanese song in particular as represented in hagibat al-fun (A certain type of traditional singing). The research, using the descriptive analytical method in addition to interviews with legal and other experts and with refrence to previous studies reaches its findings and recommendations. Most important of these is the absence of collective management in Sudan, which contributed much in the failure to protect rights. The development of the Sudanese song which depends on traditional singing should allow for protecting the rights of the old creation. A new law, in that respect has been expected since 2006. The researcher’s recommendations confirm the importance of protecting old and traditional literary and artistic works and the establishment of studies and programs in universities and other concerned circles and providing the incentive for creative activities by protecting them. ©Ë®
